A SERVICE FOR THE
BLESSING OF ANIMALS

Welcome and Greeting

+

All creatures of our God and King
Lift up your voice and with us sing
O praise Him alleluia

Thou burning sun with golden beam
Thou silver moon with softer gleam
O praise Him O praise Him
Alleluia alleluia alleluia

Thou rushing wind that art so strong
Ye clouds that sail in Heav'n along
O praise Him alleluia

Thou rising moon in praise rejoice
Ye lights of evening find a voice
O praise Him O praise Him
Alleluia alleluia alleluia

Let all things their Creator bless
And worship Him in humbleness
O praise Him alleluia

Praise praise the Father praise the Son
And praise the Spirit three in One
O praise Him O praise Him
Alleluia alleluia alleluia

God created us and placed us on the earth
to be stewards of all living things, therefore
let us proclaim the glory of our Creator, saying:
O God, how wonderful are the
works of your hands.

Blessed are you, O Lord of the Universe;
you create the animals and give us the ability to train them to help us in our work.
O God, how wonderful are the
works of your hands.

Blessed are you, O Lord of the Universe;
you give us food from animals
to replenish our energies.
O God, how wonderful are the
works of your hands.

Blessed are you, O Lord of the Universe;
for the sake of our comfort you give us domestic animals as companions.
O God, how wonderful are the
works of your hands.

Blessed are you, O Lord of the Universe;
you care for us even as you care
for the birds of the air.
O God, how wonderful are the
works of your hands.

Blessed are you, O Lord of the Universe;
you offered your Son to us as the passover
lamb and in him willed that
we should be called your children.
O God, how wonderful are the
works of your hands.

This is my Father's world
And to my list'ning ears
All nature sings and 'round me rings
Music of the spheres

This is my Father's world
I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees of skies and seas
His hand the wonders wrought

This is my Father's world
The birds their carols raise
The morning light the lily white
Declare their Maker's praise

This is my Father's world
He shines in all that's fair
In the rust'ling grass I hear Him pass
He speaks to me ev'rywhere

This is my Father's world
O let me ne'er forget
And though the wrong seems oft so strong

God is the Ruler yet
And though the wrong seems oft so strong
God is the Ruler yet

This is my Father's world
Why should my heart be sad

The Lord is King let the heavens ring
God reigns let the earth be glad
